Dr. Bell’s path to naturopathic medicine began outside of healthcare. Before becoming a physician, sheworked in the computer industry as a technical writer and manager—a career that required analyticalthinking, attention to detail, and the ability to take complicated information and explain it clearly.

Her growing interest in health and nutrition eventually led her to naturopathic medicine. Dr. Bell earned both her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree and Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. After becoming a naturopathic physician, Dr. Bell taught Anatomy & Physiology as an adjunct professor for more than ten years while building her naturopathic practice. Teaching strengthened both her knowledge of the human body and her ability to explain complex health issues in a way patients can understand. That combination of analytical thinking, science, nutrition, teaching, and clinical experience continues to shape her approach to patient care. Dr. Bell particularly enjoys the investigative side of medicine. Chronic illness does not always present as a single, isolated problem. Fatigue, digestive symptoms, pain, neurological complaints, sleep problems, and other concerns may appear unrelated, but sometimes important connections can be found.

Her clinical interests include Lyme disease and co-infections, digestive health, nutrition, cardiometabolic health, and complex chronic illness. She carefully considers the patient’s history, previous testing and treatments, and the nutritional, gastrointestinal, metabolic, infectious, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to the overall picture.

Her experience as an educator remains an important part of her practice. Dr. Bell believes patients shouldunderstand what their testing means, why a particular treatment is being recommended, and how they canparticipate in improving their health.

Patients working with Dr. Bell can expect a physician who is thorough, analytical, practical, and committed to helping them better understand their health.
